Next week’s Microsoft patches will be a doozy. Reportedly,13 bulletins with fixes for a whopping 26 vulnerabilities according to Microsoft. Of the 13 bulletins, 5 will be rated critical due to risk of remote code execution. The bulk of the vulnerabilities affect the companies flagship OS.
So, as I was getting ready for bed tonight I prayed my bedtime prayers. I said “God, you know how we all feel about this crappy Ipad, thingy. God, if you could, please inspire someone to make a better E-Reader/ Tablet, and if you could, please make it run Android.” Well it appears God answers all prayers. Apparently HTC and Google are planning to make an Ipad rival in the coming months. HTC and Google have been working closely on touch screen projects for the last several months. Rumor has it that they are planning to release this product in short order. According to reports they already have several versions of a prototype that were shown privately to core customers at CES. The prototype apparently is running a new Qualcomm processor, and will feature new software from Adobe.
So what do you think? Will this compete with the Ipad? Possibly Kill it? Drop me a comment and let me know what you think!
Think you know a flaw inside Google’s Chrome browser? Google is offering $1337 (W00t) for each and every security related bug found inside the browser. This is basically Google showing the world how confident they are in their browser. In my opinion, I love the thing. It’s fast, secure, and hey, it works. This is also their way of getting security experts to once over their software. Now personally, I know that Zero Day exploits can go for $100k plus on the black market, but it will be interesting to see who takes the bait. This is just one part of a two part campaign to finally get people to wake up and get rid of IE. The other side of this is now Google is going to end support on Google Docs and other offerings for IE6.
Thanks and as always, if you like the post, don’t forget to share it!
